Text-mined interactions from Literome
Kose et al., Clin Exp Nephrol 2010
:
The aim of this experimental study was to examine the
effects of selective
Cox-2 inhibitor, rofecoxib, with or without furosemide, on urine and serum electrolytes, creatinine clearance,
plasma renin activity (PRA) , and Cox-2 expression in the renal cortex
Guo et al., J Clin Endocrinol Metab 2009
:
Inhibition of endogenous progesterone production with trilostane or knockdown of PRA expression with small interfering RNA significantly
enhanced the glucocorticoid receptor ( GR ) -mediated
COX-2 induction by cortisol, whereas overexpression of
PRA attenuated the induction by cortisol
Lei et al., PloS one 2012
:
However, we found that the ability of MPA to repress IL-1ß-driven
COX-2 expression was not
enhanced by overexpression of either PRB or
PRA and that although the combined PR and GR antagonist Ru486 blocked the effects of progesterone and MPA, the specific PR antagonist, Org31710, did not, suggesting that progesterone and MPA act via GR and not PR. Knockdown using siRNA confirmed that both MPA and progesterone acted via GR and not PR or AR to repress IL-1ß-driven COX-2 expression
